Build an ethical fashion brand with SCAD graduate Kendra Duplantier on 'Guests and Gusto'
An independent womenswear designer based in Los Angeles, Kendra Duplantier (B.F.A., fashion, 2011) launched her eponymous label in 2019 after a decade of experience in the New York fashion industry. Duplantier promotes slow and ethical fashion, producing capsule collections of well-cut, timeless pieces that celebrate the female form and can be worn season after season. She was recently selected by Beyoncé and stylist Zerina Akers for inclusion in their platform Black Owned Everything, a curated directory of Black-owned businesses. In this Guests and Gusto, she shares insight for others seeking to found their own ethical fashion brand. Follow her on Instagram @kendraduplantier.
