K.K. Barrett examines creative decision-making in ‘Cross-Discipline Creativity’
Film production designer K.K. Barrett explores the process of creative decision-making that goes into designing new worlds for film and theater in this lecture, titled “Cross-Discipline Creativity.” Learn about the observation, research and playful rule-breaking behind some of Hollywood’s greatest stories.
Barrett is best known for the films “Her,” “Where the Wild Things Are,” “Lost in Translation,” “Marie Antoinette,” and “Being John Malkovich.” A self-taught filmmaker with a background crossing the disciplines of music, painting, sculpture and animation, his latest endeavors are in live theater.
“Cross-Discipline Creativity” is presented as part of the School of Building Arts Fall 2014 Lecture Series and is free and open to the public.
