SCAD Museum of Art

Savannah, GA

601 Turner Blvd.

Top off your summer solstice outfit at a flower crown-making workshop inspired by the artwork of fashion designer Carla Fernández and floral installation artist Flores Cosmos, who collaborated on the SCAD Museum of Art exhibition, "Think Twice," featured at SCAD deFINE ART 2019.

Take a deeper look at the exhibition by Fernández and Pedro Reyes and learn how Fernández worked closely with Cosmos to create stunning headdresses for her designs using flora from the Savannah area. Then try your hand at creating your own flower crown during this workshop on the SCAD Museum of Art terrace. Refreshments will be served.

Workshop fee is $40 for museum members and $50 for non-members, and includes fresh flowers and step-by-step assembly instructions.

RSVP to Kristin Poitras, coordinator of museum visitation, at [email protected] or 912.525.7145.
