Mingle with the artist at reception for Chenyi Sun’s thesis exhibition 'Isoland'
Join us for a reception celebrating "Isoland," a thesis exhibition by Chenyi Sun (M.F.A. painting) on view at Alexander Hall Gallery.
The exhibition explores the experience of loneliness as it relates to the modern urban environment through artworks that fuse several oil painting techniques. Sun’s meticulously rendered subjects and environments are an examination into the phenomenon of isolation despite the increasing population in urban centers.
Born in Shanghai, China, Sun earned a B.F.A. in painting from Shanghai Institute of Visual Art at Fudan University. His work has been exhibited in group shows in Savannah, Georgia; Lake City, South Carolina, as well as internationally in Shanghai and Suzhou, China.
Gallery hours: Monday–Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The reception and exhibition are free and open to the public.
