Chenyi Sun thesis exhibition: 'Isoland'
SCAD presents "Isoland," a thesis exhibition by Chenyi Sun (M.F.A. painting), that explores the experience of loneliness as it relates to the modern urban environment. Sun’s meticulously rendered subjects and environments are an examination into the phenomenon of isolation despite the increasing population in urban centers. The artist explores the inner world of his subjects through artworks that fuse several oil painting techniques.
Born in Shanghai, China, Sun earned a B.F.A. in painting from Shanghai Institute of Visual Art at Fudan University. His work has been exhibited in group shows in Savannah, Georgia; Lake City, South Carolina, as well as internationally in Shanghai and Suzhou, China.
