André Leon Talley Circle of Friends
André Leon Talley, a beloved fashion icon and friend of SCAD, inspired generations of creatives by encouraging young visionaries to embrace originality and academic achievement. The André Leon Talley Circle of Friends Fund continues his legacy by supporting programs at the SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion + Film in Atlanta and SCAD FASH Lacoste, including the exhibition André Leon Talley: Style Is Forever.
Gifts-in-kind
Gifts-in-kind include non-monetary items such as art, books, clothing, and equipment. Acceptance depends on need, restrictions, cost, maintenance, delivery, storage, and other factors. If accepted, a giving officer will contact you to assist with the donation process and provide a Deed of Gift form for you to sign and return. Contact SCAD Giving with details, photos, and relevant information.
For gifts-in-kind valued at more than $5,000, a current appraisal is required for a tax credit. The IRS mandates that donors obtain, at their expense, a qualified, independent appraisal and have the appraiser sign IRS Form 8283. Donors must pack, ship, and deliver gifts-in-kind.
Naming opportunities
Whether designating a building, academic program, street at the SCAD Film Studios backlot, or a room in honor of individual donors, companies, friends, or family, naming opportunities offer a unique way to create a legacy at SCAD.
