Explore Cheyenne Julien’s unique style of Black portraiture and discuss issues of representation at this Guests and Gusto artist talk. Julien has participated in artist residencies at the OxBow School of Art in Saugatuck, Michigan, and the Vermont Studio Center Fellowship in Johnson, Vermont. She was awarded the Bronx Recognizes Its Own Grant from the Bronx Council on the Arts and the Florence Leif Award. Her work has been exhibited at Chapter NY, Smart Objects in Los Angeles, and with American Medium; her paintings were included in the survey Dreamers Awake at White Cube Bermondsey in London.
