Make your mark at the 2015 'Drawing Works' exhibition

This exhibition highlights drawing as a fundamental language in all creative fields. From quick sketches in journals to full-size renderings, all works are considered for this exhibition. Submit to "Drawing Works" and celebrate the unique processes, materials and, above all, the flexibility the language of drawing offers. The "Drawing Works" exhibition is open to undergraduate students in all majors at SCAD's Savannah, Atlanta and Hong Kong locations, plus SCAD eLearning.

Submission guidelines:

  • Work submitted needs to have been created while at SCAD.
  • Submit one to three images for jury (no size limit).
  • All drawing forms, mediums, styles and formats will be considered, including but not limited to sketchbooks, computer-generated drawings, working drawings, illustrations, fine art, storyboards, installations, prints, quick sketches, conceptual, mechanical, digital media, idea development, sculptural, graphic and technical, works that define and redefine drawing, etc.
  • Email images of drawings in a PowerPoint presentation and write “Drawing Works” in the subject line. Include your name, contact information and major/minor in the email text.

Each PowerPoint image must include:

Artist’s name, contact information, major/minor, title of work, medium, dimensions (please note if your work is digital and should be exhibited on a LCD screen) and artist price. Both hard copy (ready to hang) and digital submissions will be exhibited.

Awards:

  • Best in Show, Ideation: $500
  • Best in Show, Exploration: $500
  • Best in Show, Expression: $500

Timeline:

  • Email digital submissions to Jackie Hunter by Friday, Jan. 30.
  • You will receive notification of inclusion by Friday, Feb. 6.
  • Delivery of accepted physical works to exhibitions storage, 102 E. Lathrop Ave., Attn: Michael Runnels, exhibitions registrar, Feb. 26-27
