Student performance groups
Hone your musical skills and represent SCAD at events year-round in student performance groups. Students of any class level and discipline may audition for the SCAD Performance Ensemble in Savannah or SCAD Drumline in Savannah and Atlanta.
SCAD Performance Ensemble
A choir of more than 20 members, the SCAD Performance Ensemble produces a concert each quarter and represents the university at a variety of events, including SCAD Days, commencement and community outreach programs like Picnic in the Park.
SCAD Savannah students of any class level and from any program may audition for the SCAD Performance Ensemble. Auditions are held only at the beginning of fall quarter, and scholarship consideration is given to students selected to join.
Members are required to maintain a 3.0 GPA and attend all scheduled rehearsals and performances, with occasional exceptions based on other departmental productions. The SCAD Performance Ensemble rehearses year-round Mondays and Wednesdays during the 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. class time, with additional evening and weekend rehearsals leading up to events.

Make some noise in a celebrated tradition distinguished by talented students with a passion for the art of music. Founded in 2008 in Savannah and in 2017 in Atlanta, the SCAD Drumline promotes percussion as a progressive art form.
The SCAD Drumline is a fixture at home athletics competitions, orientation, commencement and SCAD signature events, and it has also represented the university in the Savannah St. Patrick's Day Parade.
Drummers are from a wide range of ages, majors and class levels. Open auditions take place in fall, winter and spring quarters, and incoming freshmen may audition online in summer quarters.
