Public health advisory: Coronavirus
The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) continues to closely monitor COVID-19 (coronavirus) and is in regular communication with local, state, and national health officials. Find SCAD’s messages, public health resources, and frequently asked questions at scad.edu/coronavirus.
To make accessing quality health care services even easier, all SCAD students are enrolled in the HealthiestYou app, powered by Teladoc. HealthiestYou connects you to licensed, board-certified physicians who can help with diagnosis and treatment of a wide array of minor illnesses such as sinus infections, cold and flu, UTIs, pink eye, and more, from anywhere in the world. Doctor access is available 24/7, with no scheduling, no travel, no waiting rooms, and no hassle for a visit fee of only $25 for domestic students. For international students with UnitedHealthcare insurance, there is a $0 copay thanks to the UnitedHealthcare partnership with HealthiestYou.
HealthiestYou also provides access to appointment-based mental health counseling. Choose a therapist, pick a time that is convenient for you (seven days a week), and then talk to the therapist from the privacy of home or anywhere you feel comfortable.
Enrolled students can register for their HealthiestYou account. Download the HealthiestYou app, available free wherever you get your apps.
The ExperCARE location in Savannah’s historic district welcomes SCAD students for appointments and walk-ins seven days a week. ExperCARE provides quality health care services, including treatments, x-rays, lab testing, diagnostics, urgent care, and routine medical appointments. ExperCARE accepts most major insurance policies.
