Duaa Mohammed Alashari exhibition: 'The Spirit of Arabic Calligraphy'
SCAD presents “The Spirit of Arabic Calligraphy,” an exhibition by M.F.A. painting student Duaa Mohammed Alashari. Inspired by Arabic poems and Quranic texts, Alashari creates abstract large-scale paintings featuring calligraphy and acrylic paint on canvas. In these works, she explores the connection between traditional Arabic calligraphy and cultural writings.
Reception: Friday, April 10, 6-7:30 p.m.
