Art History and Liberal Arts Lecture Series presents "Creative Resilience: Accessing Strength in the Midst of Life’s Challenges."  Three SCAD professors will encourage you to tap into your creativity and learn about resources that can help you overcome life's obstacles. The lecture will also feature student work.

Stephanie Batcos, Ph.D., professor of liberal arts and writing, SCAD Atlanta
Stephanie Batcos earned a B.A. in English from the University of Michigan and an M.A. and Ph.D. in English from the University of Delaware. She teaches classes in literature, culture and theory and her interests include Olive Senior, Edith Wharton and the intersection of travel writing, autobiography and fiction.

Trina A. Brown, Ph.D., professor of psychology, SCAD Atlanta
Trina Brown earned her doctoral degree from Emory University specializing in cognition and development. Her interests include the influence of stress on memory, identity development and the link between art and psychology.

Imani Michelle Scott, Ph.D., professor of communication, SCAD Atlanta
Imani Michelle Scott holds a doctorate in conflict analysis and resolution from Nova Southeastern University. Her interests include relationship building, resilience studies, and the sources, consequences and resolution of personal and social violence.
