Performing arts kicks off fall season with 'Lovers & Players'
Thursday, Oct. 23 through Saturday, Oct. 25, 8 p.m.
Sunday Oct. 26, 3 p.m.
Step back in time with SCAD performing arts for the first production of “Lovers & Players.” This new play by SCAD performing arts and dramatic writing professor Kathryn Walat is directed by fellow professor Sharon Ott and set against the backdrop of 16th-century Italy. On the cusp of the golden age of commedia dell’arte, a close-knit troupe of actors travels from city to city performing highly physical and often bawdy comedies.
This project was funded in part through a SCAD Presidential Fellowship for Faculty Development.
All performances are open to the public. General admission is $10 or $8 with student, senior or military ID. Admission is free with SCAD ID for the Thursday, Oct. 23 performance or $5 otherwise.
Purchase tickets in person at the Savannah Box Office, 216 E. Broughton St., by phone at 912.525.5050, or at savannahboxoffice.com. You can also buy tickets at the Mondanaro Theater one hour prior to a performance.
