Registration is full for SCAD students and student groups
Students on the waitlist will be notified as squares become available before the event. Anyone on the waitlist who has not received a square by Wednesday, April 23 will be eligible for standby squares on the day of the event. These squares will be assigned if a registered participant fails to check in or if spots are not filled. Space is not guaranteed.
For SCAD student groups in the standby line, be prepared to provide SCAD ID numbers for each group member, along with a name for your group.
Individual SCAD alumni:
Sidewalk Arts Festival is the perfect place to catch up with SCAD friends and remember the good times you shared as students. Check in at the alumni tent for chalk and activities. Create your own masterpiece for fun or compete against fellow alumni for cash prizes, then stroll the walkways to see what students are creating.
SCAD alumni are encouraged to register online. In-person registration will be limited at the alumni tent in Forsyth Park on the day of the event, Saturday, April 26. In preparation, review the contest guidelines, and begin to brainstorm the concept for your square.
SCAD alumni groups:
SCAD alumni groups are encouraged to register online. In-person registration will be limited at the alumni tent in Forsyth Park on the day of the event, Saturday, April 26. Alumni may also register in advance online. There are no limitations on the number of members per group. Each group will be assigned one square per member up to a maximum of three squares per group. Each group will receive one box of chalk per square, and all members of the group must be present and check-in at the alumni tent to receive chalk.
Alumni may register in advance as a group in conjunction with Family and Alumni Weekend. Be sure to complete the group name and square preference fields when registering. Each group will be assigned one square per member up to a maximum of three squares per group per square availability. We highly recommend alumni groups register in advance if they need more than one square.
Individual high school student:
High school students are encouraged to put their artistic skills to the test and experience the energizing atmosphere of the SCAD Sidewalk Arts Festival. Advance registration is required to compete for Ex Libris bookstore gift cards.
High school student groups:
If you are a high school teacher or administrator, you may register several students at one time to compete in the high school competition. Each student registered within your group will be assigned one square and receive one box of chalk. Squares will be judged individually.
