Charade film still

Race through the streets of Paris at 'Charade' Lucas Theatre screening

Often called “the best Hitchcock movie Hitchcock never made,” this sparkling comic thriller directed by the brilliant Stanley Donen (Singin’ in the Rain) proves as adept at suspense as it is at comedy. Audrey Hepburn stars as a newly widowed woman pursued through Paris by a trio of determined crooks, including James Coburn and George Kennedy, who are seeking the fortune her late husband stole from them. The only person she may be able to trust is Cary Grant’s suave and enigmatic stranger. Filled with red herrings, Givenchy gowns, and a title song with lyrics by Savannah's own Johnny Mercer, Charade remains a dazzling showcase of wit, glamour, and cinematic elegance — now newly restored in 4K.

Tickets for the screening are $5 for SCAD Card holders, students, seniors, and military, and $8 for the general public. Passes for the Endless Summer series are available for $40.
