Gain behind-the-scenes access to a fashion extraordinaire at 'Marc by Sofia' screening
The first feature documentary from esteemed director Sofia Coppola (Lost in Translation, Marie Antoinette) offers an intimate and unconventional look at iconic designer Marc Jacobs. Marc by Sofia follows Jacobs as he creates his spring 2024 collection, delving into the pop culture, fashion, and artistic influences that have shaped him. As both a study of a unique creative force and a heartfelt portrait of a longstanding artistic friendship, Coppola’s collage-like style celebrates shared passions, late-night conversations, and the strong creative bond between two kindred spirits at the height of their talents.
The screening will be preceded by an introduction from BAZAAR by shopSCAD manager Ash Williams and followed by a conversation with Williams and Marc Jacobs featured archival collector Lauren Pyes. Tickets for the film, part of the Arthouse Cinema series, are $5 for SCAD Card holders; $8 for students, military, and seniors; and $10 for the general public.
