Safdie joins fellow architect and former SCAD professor Anthony Cissell (SCAD M.Arch., 2008) to contextualize the progression of built environments in this highly anticipated keynote conversation. Encompassing writer, theorist, and founding partner of his architectural firm, Safdie’s 50-year career reaches far beyond structural feats. His contributions to the civic fabric of cities and communities steward both ethical and technical evolutions while his mentorship and educational advocacy continue to produce quantifiable change. Cissell’s own career in many ways mirrors Safdie’s trajectory.
