Group exhibition: 'Here and There'

Here and There unites works by SCAD artists based in the university’s home communities of Savannah and Atlanta, highlighting the shared creative vitality of students, alumni, and faculty. Through painting, photography, textiles, and mixed media, the featured artists portray each location in realistic detail or render their city’s ineffable traits through abstract compositions. Select artists depict the iconic architecture and natural landscapes that define Savannah’s idyllic charm and Atlanta’s vibrant urban spirit, while others present their individualized experiences in Georgia, capturing cherished memories at SCAD, impressions of local sociocultural practices, or adaptations of Southern artistic and craft traditions.

Conveying expressions both unique to the artists and their respective community, the works in Here and There create moments of mutual connection while underscoring how artists significantly shape a place’s identity and foster communal growth.

This exhibition is free and open to the public.

The artworks exhibited in Here and There are available for purchase through SCAD Art Sales, the university’s full-service art consultancy.
