Zaccheo Zhang thesis exhibition: 'One Kind of Touch'

In her thesis exhibition One Kind of Touch, M.F.A. photography student Zaccheo Zhang records interactions between energy sources and photographic materials in experimental works informed by historical research. Zhang’s unique process returns to the early science of image-making, replete with the challenges and dangers of the unknown. In shifting creative control from the artist to the scientific process, the medium itself becomes a collaborator, assisting Zhang in visualizing the fleeting nature of energy emission and flux, while expanding the possibilities and potential of the future of photography.
