Sally Mayer Seidl exhibition: “Tell Me Who You Are Haunting, and I’ll Tell You Who You Are”
SCAD presents Tell Me Who You Are Haunting, and I’ll Tell You Who You Are, a thesis exhibition by Sally Mayer Seidl (M.F.A., painting, 2020). Largely inspired by Savannah and the Southern Gothic tradition, the featured paintings and installations reflect on the notion of haunting as an element of identity, playfully peeling back the veil between past, present, and future. Visual descriptions of nonlinear time, the accompanying narrative paintings pictorially and tenuously negate nothingness, temporarily eluding the abyss.
There is limited access to Alexander Hall. The artist will host a virtual walk-through of the exhibition Friday, Oct. 9, at 6 p.m. ET on sallymayerseidl.com. Join her for a live-streamed artist’s talk on Friday, Oct. 16, at 2 p.m. on Instagram @sallymayerseidl.
The exhibition is free and open to the public.
