Submit your artwork to virtual SCAD Open Studio
SCAD Art Sales invites SCAD students, professors, staff, and alumni to submit their best artwork for fall quarter Open Studio Nov. 12–15, 2020.
All works must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4. Find the full list of requirements and enter your work through Submittable.
Submission requirements
Submission images must be a minimum of 300 PPI. Submitted artwork images will represent your artwork in Open Studio online if accepted. Please submit images that are true representations of completed artwork. Any costs incurred by SCAD to correct misrepresented artwork will be deducted from artist payment. Images that appear to be blurred or are uncropped will not be considered. Work in progress will not be accepted. Images need to be a professional representation of the artwork.
Please limit submissions to five works by a single artist per discipline. In the case of multiple entries, SCAD Art Sales encourages a concise body of work. Multiple entries require multiple submission forms. For example, an artist submitting five artworks will have to go through the online submission process five times.
Pricing
Accepted submissions will be reviewed for accurate artist and retail pricing. Artists will be contacted if the submitted retail and artist pricing is inaccurate. If an artist does not respond to phone or email outreach, SCAD Art Sales will correct the pricing or remove the piece from the online exhibition.
Photography printing
All photography work must be printed by the artist. SCAD will not offer to print accepted and sold photography entries. All photography work should be printed upon exhibition acceptance to meet the drop-off timeline for sold works.
Sculpture
Sculpture submissions must weigh under 50 pounds and not extend over five feet in any direction.
Framing
Works on paper (including drawings, illustration, photography, and printmaking) may be framed or unframed. If a work is framed, the submission image must include the frame. All framing should look professional. Glass with clips and plastic craft store frames are not acceptable.
SCADartsales.com
Accepted works may be included on the SCAD Art Sales website for the duration of the exhibition at the discretion of SCAD Art Sales staff. All work submitted must be for sale.
Sold Artwork
If an artist's work is accepted and sold, the artist will receive new vendor paperwork via email after Monday, Nov. 16. All accepted and sold works must be delivered to SCAD Monday, Nov. 16 through Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020.
