Submit artwork proposals for outdoor installation to SCAD Art Sales
SCAD Art Sales seeks statements, initial designs, drawings and other plans from emerging and professional SCAD artists for an upcoming outdoor art installation located in downtown Savannah.
The selected artist/artists will contract with SCAD Art Sales to create a permanent, site-specific artwork that focuses on preservation design and Savannah’s historical forerunners such as Alida Harper. Individual budgets will vary. Selected artists will work with SCAD Art Sales to outline projects that embrace art as an experience and medium for public engagement.
Applicants must be SCAD students, alumni, faculty or staff and be legally authorized to work in the U.S. This program seeks to engage artists working in a multitude of media, including installation, lighting and projections, sculpture, painting, drawing, architecture and more. Artists who submit should be comfortable working with their chosen media and demonstrate a history of successful execution of their practice. Proposals are due by 5 p.m. on the deadline date.
To submit, email Ally Hughes, director of communication and marketing for SCAD Art Sales, at [email protected] with the subject line: "The Public Art Proposal."
