SCAD Call for Proposals: 40th Anniversary

SCAD seeks proposals for installations and public art projects in commemoration of the university’s 40th anniversary. Alumni, faculty and senior students are invited to propose projects for spaces throughout the Atlanta, Hong Kong, Lacoste and Savannah campuses.

Medium- and large-scale works from many media will be considered. Artists should take a unique approach to the project, and should consider the history of the university or specific university sites when developing concepts.

Required Information:

  • Brief description of project, including proposed site, which should make use of SCAD property.
  • Sketches, renderings, imagery to support proposal description
  • Artist bio
  • Contact information, including phone number, email address and current address

Supplemental suggested Information:

  • Description of assistance of SCAD faculty or staff, if required
  • Description of access to SCAD equipment or facilities, if required
  • Budget
  • Project timeline
  • Artist statement

Deadline: Midnight, Friday, July 13, 2018

Artists whose proposals are accepted will be notified by Wednesday, Aug. 1. All approved projects must be realized by March 2019.
