Summer sales exhibition: 'Landfall'
SCAD exhibitions presents “Landfall,” the 2015 summer sales exhibition featuring artwork by SCAD students, faculty, staff and alumni. For this annual thematic and juried exhibition, entries were culled from varied interpretations of the landscape genre. By definition, “Landfall” also suggests a first encounter or arrival, and many of the artists responded to this notion. Works included in the exhibition celebrate the majesty of local and international landscapes and broadly engage with environmental issues, mapping, cityscapes and the natural world. Diverse disciplines are represented in the show, including painting, photography, sculpture, furniture design, fibers, drawing and printmaking.
