A Knot of Regeneration

Freda Sue exhibition: 'A Knot of Regeneration'

The SCAD exhibitions department presents “A Knot of Regeneration,” a thesis exhibition by M.F.A. printmaking student Freda Sue. Sue will present a body of new work in printmaking, sculpture and installation. The title is inspired by the ancient Chinese practice of tying a knot to record an event or point in time. Each knot serves as a witness of the past, as well as the human acknowledgment of loss and its effort to be restored. Contemporary social lifestyles have degraded the importance of experiencing the moment. The knot serves as a potent reminder of where one is in life. "A Knot of Regeneration" presents the artist's musings on themes of loss and regeneration.

The exhibition is free and open to the public.
