'Grease' is the word at sing-along SCADshow screening and director talk
You’re the one that we want for this special screening of Grease at SCADshow, followed by a discussion with the film’s legendary director Randal Kleiser! Audiences are invited to sing along as Sandy and Danny's summer romance collides with the realities of life at Rydell High. Packed with unforgettable songs, memorable characters, and 1950s fashion, Grease has remained one of the most beloved movie musicals of all time nearly 50 years after its blockbuster debut.
Following the screening, Kleiser will share behind-the-scenes stories, reflections on making the classic film, and insights into its enduring cultural impact. An internationally acclaimed director, Kleiser’s hit films also include The Blue Lagoon, Flight of the Navigator, and Honey, I Blew Up the Kid. As a longtime innovator in emerging media and entertainment technology, he directed the 70mm companion film to the 3D attraction Honey, I Shrunk the Audience and developed virtual reality-powered training simulations for the U.S. government. He has also served in leadership roles with both the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Directors Guild of America.
Tickets for the film, part of the SCADFILM Storytellers series, are free for SCAD Card holders and the general public; a ticket must be reserved for entry. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., so join us early to grab your seat and a sweet treat on us! For more information, email [email protected].
