Honored with a 2021 National Design Award, McCharen-Tran was named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list of “People Reinventing the World.” Her TED Talk on the urgency of racial, gender, and disability justice in fashion has nearly 2 million views. Since its founding in 2010, Chromat quickly gained a cult following. The brand has been profiled in major publications like Vogue, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal, and has collaborated with the artist Tourmaline and brands including Reebok and MAC Cosmetics.
