Make your mark by submitting to 'Drawing Works 2021' exhibition
Submit your mark-making media for Drawing Works 2021, a student exhibition surveying experimental gestures in diverse artistic practices.
Your submission can use any combination of analog, digital, or other drawing methods and should demonstrate unconventional use of media and aesthetic expressions. Acceptable styles and formats include fine art drawings, illustrations, sketches, storyboards, prints, conceptual and process sketches, technical working drawings, digital works, and 3D drawings.
Drawing Works 2021 highlights SCAD students’ prowess at visual communication in varied mediums. The works on view will showcase innovative techniques, evidencing the unbridled creativity of SCAD students across disciplines. Follow @scaddrawingminor.

Entry and submission guidelines
Must be a current undergraduate student enrolled in any degree program at any SCAD location.
Works must be created anytime during enrollment at SCAD.
Submit 1–3 images by 11:59 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021. Additional images will not be considered.
Awards
Best in Show – $1,000
Awarded to work that demonstrates outstanding and inventive contemporary aesthetics, conceptual qualities, and composition and media-handling techniques, fully expressing the unique attributes of drawing or sketching.
Process Award – $500
Awarded to work that demonstrates exploration of concept and composition in preparatory sketching that informs and supports research and development processes.
Explorative Play Award – $500
Awarded to artists displaying creativity by experimenting with traditional and/or nontraditional drawing media, expressive mark making, and gestural approaches.
Composition Award – $500
Awarded to work that displays exemplary drawing abilities in the production of a fully realized work.
