Discover the future of green building design with SCAD Alumni Atelier ambassador Eric Ross
Explore how SCAD architecture alum and Fall 2020 Alumni Atelier ambassador Eric Ross (M.Arch., 2011; B.F.A., architecture, 2009) is leading the push to reducing our carbon footprint in buildings and cityscapes in this virtual talk hosted by the SCAD office for career and alumni success.
Ross, an award-winning architect with William McDonough + Partners in Charlottesville, Va., specializes in integrating "cradle-to-cradle" thinking and regenerative design in his work. This fall, SCAD selected Ross as the SCAD Savannah Alumni Atelier ambassador; his project, A Return to Zero, examines the building material mass timber, a critical element in the push to make buildings carbon-positive by 2050. In addition to discussing his project, done in collaboration with Nordic Structures, Ross talks about his career and the SCAD Alumni Atelier ambassadorship.
This event is free and open to SCAD students and alums as well as the general public. SCAD alums can learn more about postgraduate benefits, job opportunities, and how to stay connected by signing up for the monthly CAS newsletter, joining the CAS LinkedIn or Facebook groups, or following SCAD CAS on Instagram and Twitter.
