Celebrate Patrick Kelly with Pat Cleveland, Carol Martin, and Gail O’Neill on 'Guests and Gusto'
SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion + Film presents a very special Guests and Gusto honoring the late fashion designer Patrick Kelly on the occasion of his birthday. Former Kelly models, international icon Pat Cleveland, renowned beauty expert Carol Martin, and celebrated arts writer and host Gail O’Neill join SCAD fashion historian Carmela Spinelli to discuss the designer’s life and legacy and share their personal and professional recollections. Follow @patcleveland and @gail_oneill on Instagram.
Born in 1957 in Vicksburg, Mississippi, Kelly laid the foundation for his career in Atlanta before finding tremendous success in Paris, where he became the first American to be admitted to the Chambre Syndicale du Prêt-à-Porter, the prestigious governing body of the French ready-to-wear industry. Devotees like Cleveland, Martin, and O’Neill immediately recognized his talent, championed his work, and witnessed the fulfillment of his dream. More than 30 years after his death, Kelly’s work continues to challenge and inspire.
