Epic Games’ Luis Cataldi shares how Unreal Engine has changed the way the world is working across film, television, architecture, mixed reality, game design, and many other disciplines and industries. Unreal Engine is the world’s most open and advanced real-time 3D creation platform for photoreal visuals and immersive experiences. Cataldi will also speak to the new landscape for incoming design professionals and how to best prepare for a career in the game industry and related arts.

About Luis Cataldi
Luis Cataldi has been working in the computer graphics industry for more than 20 years in various roles, including character technical director, animator, lighter, environment artist, effects TD, and art director. His work has appeared on television and in music videos, theme park rides, animated feature films such as Robots and Ice Age II, and AAA video games. In 2005, Cataldi co-founded and led art direction for Kaos Studios in New York, building the team that delivered the games Frontlines: Fuel of War and Homefront. Cataldi joined Epic Games in 2014 to create an educational community for the Unreal Engine platform. He is the former department chair of the interactive design and game development degree program at SCAD.
