Continuing student housing registration timeline and steps
Students currently enrolled at SCAD may choose their housing spaces for the 2025–26 academic year during the online housing registration process conducted in winter quarter. Currently enrolled students must submit their completed housing application and pay the US$750 nonrefundable and nontransferable application fee on or before the published deadline, but may do so in any order.
-
Pay $750 housing application fee
In order to participate in the housing registration process, the Fall 2025 housing application fee must be paid no later than Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET. To pay using a debit card, credit card, or electronic check, go to MySCAD > My Info tab > My Student Account channel > “My Student Account Online” link. From the menu, click on “Deposits,” then select Fall 2025 and your intended SCAD location for fall (Atlanta or Savannah). Select the payment method, enter payment information, and confirm your payment. Authorized TouchNet users can pay via scad.edu/paymentportal. To mail a check see the mailing addresses online.
If paying via wire transfer, initiate payment early to ensure it is received by the university by Feb. 1. Wire transfers can take up to five (5) business days to process.
-
Request or renew accommodations
Students with current housing accommodations related to medical needs must renew those accommodations for next year with the office of disability resources by completing an accommodation verification form and uploading it to the SCAD Accommodate portal. Accommodation requests and/or renewals should be made by Friday, Jan. 3, 2025. Students with accommodation requests that were approved on or after Monday, Sept. 9, 2024, do not need to submit for renewal for the 2025–26 academic year.
Students who need to make changes to their accommodations, or need to initiate accommodations for the first time, should work with the office of disability resources at [email protected] (for Savannah students) or [email protected] (for Atlanta students).

Submit 2025–26 housing application
Beginning Monday, Dec. 2, 2024, at 9 a.m. ET, all currently enrolled students can access the 2025–26 Housing Application via MySCAD > My Info tab > SCADhome channel > “SCADhome website” link > “Apply for Housing” link. Once the application has loaded, select your preferred gender housing option, then answer the roommate questionnaire honestly and to the best of your ability. Read and sign the housing license agreement and be sure to click “Submit” at the end.
The housing license agreement is a binding agreement for the entire 2025–26 academic year (fall through spring).
The deadline to submit the housing application, in order to participate in the housing registration process, is Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025. Registration priority is based on several factors, including the date the housing application was submitted.
-
Match with roommates
As soon as your application is submitted, you can explore the roommate matching portal within the SCADhome website. Visit Manage My Fall Housing > Manage My Roommates > 2025–26 academic year. From there, you can search for potential roommates by details, by profiles, or ask the portal to suggest good roommate matches for you.
Already know who you want to live with? As soon as each member of your preferred roommate group has submitted their housing application, you can match up with one another in the portal.
Once you have your roommate group established, each roommate will need to verify the group via Manage My Fall Housing > Manage My Roommates > 2025–26 academic year > “Verify group.” Roommate matching must becompleted by Monday, Feb. 3, 2025.
-
Select your 2025–26 housing assignment
SCADhome will communicate your assigned housing registration date and time via email by Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025. Time tickets are 30 minutes in length, and will occur on Fridays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. If you are part of a roommate group, only the designated group leader will receive the emailed time ticket and will be the individual responsible for logging in at the assigned housing registration time. If you miss your registration time window, you will be assigned housing based on availability at the conclusion of the registration process.
-
Select your fall move-in date and time
You’ll choose your own move-in time for the fall, via MySCAD > My Info tab > SCADhome channel > “SCADhome website" > “Select move-in time” link. You will select a one-hour block based on your chosen residence hall’s designated move-in date(s).
Have plans changed and you need to adjust your selected move-in time? No problem! You can go back into the portal until Thursday, May 1, 2025, and choose a different move-in time. Students who have not selected a move-in date and time by May 1 will be assigned one.
-
Pay fall housing balance
The remaining fall quarter housing balance is due to the student accounts office by Friday, Aug. 1, 2025. Continuing students with a housing assignment who cancel fewer than 30 days prior to the quarter they are scheduled to move into the residence hall are subject to a nonrefundable US$1,500 cancellation fee. This cancellation fee is separate from and in addition to the nonrefundable and nontransferable application fee.
Important to note
- SCADhome will send regular updates and reminders regarding the process to students’ email, so it is essential that students check their email regularly.
- Students will see the spaces available during their designated housing registration time and select their room for next year online.
- Once students select a space during their designated registration time, they are not eligible to select a different space on a different day.
- SCADhome reserves the right to reassign students after assignments are made and/or after students have moved in to consolidate and maximize space. If a change is necessary, affected students will be contacted via email.
- The housing license agreement is a nine-month legally binding agreement for the entire academic year outlining SCADhome policies and procedures regarding behavior, room care, and condition. The housing license agreement is renewed annually while a student resides in SCAD housing. Students may be assessed damage fees based on the condition of their rooms after they leave. When selecting housing preferences, students must read all terms and conditions of the agreement carefully and then agree to the form by following the steps as indicated online.
- Students can find additional details and FAQs regarding the housing registration process by browsing articles in the SCADhome Help Desk at scadhome.scad.edu.
- Students who do not make housing payments by the posted deadline forfeit their housing assignment.
- Continuing students are subject to an additional US$1,000 nonrefundable cancellation fee if they cancel their housing assignment after Sunday, June 1, or a US$1,500 nonrefundable cancellation fee if they cancel fewer than 30 days prior to the quarter they are scheduled to move in to the residence hall.
- Housing is subject to availability.
