SCAD is committed to the pursuit of excellence and welcomes applicants who have the same high standards. SCAD maintains selective admission policies, accounting for a student body of varied backgrounds with demonstrated intellectual capacity and a passion for creative pursuits. 

Admission information

Applying to SCAD is as easy. Simply apply, log in, and upload your documents. Applications are accepted at any time throughout the year. Admission results normally take between two and four weeks.

Portfolio and writing guidelines

SCAD undergraduate applicants may submit a portfolio for scholarship consideration. Graduate applicants must submit a portfolio for admission. Portfolios should showcase your strongest work and can be submitted through SlideRoom.

Apply

Choose your enrollment type and apply anytime. The application takes about 20 minutes and includes a nonrefundable US$100 fee. Apply at least 30 days before your first quarter.

SCAD tuition covers the cost of the extraordinary opportunity a SCAD education provides in the classroom, at networking events, and in collaboration with leaders in your chosen career field.
