SCADnext: A strategic plan for the future of SCAD

In 2012, a team of SCAD leaders, faculty, and staff set out to survey and analyze every part of SCAD, from academic programs to administrative processes to student and alumni services. The strategic plan that unfolded from this thorough inquiry, SCAD2020, was a collaborative, collective design that empowered the university community with the responsibility for continuous improvement.

As a result of the resounding success from this ongoing, comprehensive, and integrated research-based strategic planning process, SCAD again convened a team of university stakeholders to map the university's next decade. This strategic plan, SCADnext, furthers the university's abiding commitment to the four pillars of SCAD — quality, community, identity, and fortitude — and establishes a guide to advance the SCAD mission over the next eight years.
