Financial aid policies
Tuition and fees are solely provided in exchange for academic instruction, academic credit and certain non-academic services and will be and remain the same, regardless of whether instruction and/or services are provided on campus, remotely, in a hybrid environment or by some other means, and regardless of any other changes to the learning environment.
Degree verification
SCAD has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide degree verifications. The National Student Clearinghouse can be contacted on the Web or at the following address:

Financial aid records policy
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 is a federal law designed to protect the privacy of a student's educational records.
Book provision policy
Financial aid recipients may be eligible for advance funds to purchase books and supplies prior to the end of the first week of class.
Financial withdrawal policy
Students demonstrate their intent to officially withdraw from a course by completing the electronic withdrawal form available in MySCAD.
Satisfactory academic progress policy
All students receiving Federal Title IV financial aid, Georgia state financial aid or SCAD grant aid must adhere to the university's policy on satisfactory academic progress.
Concurrent enrollment and transient status
A student who wishes to be degree-seeking at two or more post-secondary institutions concurrently may receive federal/state financial aid at only one college.
Financial aid appeals
Students with extenuating circumstances, such as personal illness, injury or death in the family may appeal in writing for reinstatement of financial aid lost due to unsatisfactory academic progress.
Direct Loan confirmation policy
SCAD utilizes "active confirmation" on all student Direct Loans prior to crediting the loan to the student's account.
