Melissah Yang

As Refinery29’s entertainment director, Melissah Yang oversees all entertainment and gaming strategy and content. After joining Refinery29 in June 2021, Yang merged her personal and professional passions by launching the platform’s award-nominated franchise Good Game, which aims to elevate women and femme gamers while cultivating a space that is inclusive of everyone. With expertise in creating lifestyle content at the intersections of gaming, fashion, beauty, and culture, she launched Refinery29 on Twitch where she serves as host during interviews with top industry leaders. Yang partners with brands like Maybelline, Coach, and Audible. Across her 12 years of experience, Yang has interviewed the biggest names in Hollywood and beyond, including Nicole Kidman, Timothée Chalamet, Jenna Ortega, Pedro Pascal, Oprah Winfrey, and Blackpink’s Lalisa Manobal. She was named a Digiday Future Leader finalist, nominated for The Drum Awards’ Editorial Innovation of the Year, and co-hosted the*gamehers Awards. Prior to Refinery29, she led social and programming at CNN Entertainment and was a news editor at Bustle.
