Charlie Porter

A front row fixture at runway shows around the world, writer and author Charlie Porter has reported on fashion since the mid-1990s. A contributor to leading lifestyle publications such as Esquire, The Face, and The Guardian, Porter also served tenures at GQ, Fantastic Man, and the Financial Times. He has curated several exhibitions including Bring No Clothes: Bloomsbury and Fashion at Charleston, U.K.; the digital exhibition Robert Mapplethorpe: Fashion, Clothes, People, Pictures at Xavier Hufkens, Brussels; and the group show Palimpsest at Lismore Castle Arts, Ireland. Porter is the author of three books on fashion, style, and notable brands, including Bring No Clothes: Bloomsbury and the Philosophy of Fashion (2023) and Belstaff: Our First 100 Years, forthcoming in 2024.
