Elizabeth Lowrey
Elizabeth Lowrey, FIIDA, RDI, has led Elkus Manfredi's interior architecture studio since the firm's founding. Her projects range from corporate, hospitality, residential, and retail/entertainment to higher education environments with clients including Walt Disney Imagineering, Publicis Groupe, Boston Consulting Group, and New Balance. Boutique Design magazine named Lowrey a "maverick" and "silo buster" for her industry-crossing approach to design diversity. She is widely recognized as the pioneer of a combined approach to workplace strategy and design for office environments that enhances organizational performance and firm culture. Since 2020, she has worked closely with companies across a wide variety of industries to evaluate their existing workplaces and re-invent them for the new hybrid world of working.
Named among Boston Magazine's "100 Most Influential Bostonians" for the fourth consecutive year, Lowrey is also recognized on Interior Design's list of "20 Inspiring Women" in the design industry and Boston Real Estate Times' list of "10 Outstanding Women in Commercial Real Estate." She speaks frequently at design and architecture forums. In recognition of her industry leadership, Lowrey was inducted into the College of Fellows by the International Interior Design Association and was awarded the CoreNet Service Provider Leadership Award, the Suzanne King Public Service Award from CREW Boston, and the Real Estate Finance Association's Annual Distinguished Service Award. Lowrey is a guest columnist for Fast Company, Commercial Observer, Work Design Magazine, and Banker & Tradesman and has been featured in numerous publications including The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and Metropolis. Lowrey's role in mentoring the next generation of industry professionals and active involvement with charitable organizations has garnered her respect and recognition from colleagues and peers.
