Christian Dunbar

New York–based furniture designer and sculptor Christian Dunbar is renowned for his signature style: a fusion of organic materials and industrial elements. His custom creations — from sculptural tables to large-scale pieces — combine minimalism and luxury by emphasizing rich natural sources such as solid wood, leather, stone, glass, and metal. Each Dunbar design is one-of-a-kind, fully customizable, and handcrafted in his waterfront workshop in Red Hook, Brooklyn. With an interior design degree from the New York School of Interior Design and an M.F.A. in furniture design from SCAD, he blends technical precision with artistic sensitivity, delivering work that is both refined and emotionally resonant. His collaborations span HGTV, Delta Air Lines, and designer and television personality Genevieve Gorder, who is also his wife, with whom he frequently creates. He has shown at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair, New York, and Salone del Mobile, Milan. His work has been featured in leading publications including Vogue and ELLE Decor.
