M.F.A. fibers student Michael-Birch Pierce gave a TEDx Talk in Richmond, Virginia. During his talk, Pierce sat at a sewing machine—with an audience member sitting in front of him—and sewed the image of the audience member's face while discussing connections that can be made using needle and thread.
