Bob Weis

Former Walt Disney Imagineering president

The former president of Walt Disney Imagineering, Bob Weis has more than 30 years of leadership creating, designing, and developing many of Disney's most iconic projects around the world. Over his tenure, Weis led more than 200 major initiatives across every Disney division, including theme parks, resorts, cruise ships, and even a children's hospital ward. A pioneer of immersive design, he is celebrated for blending architecture, technology, and narrative to craft experiences that resonate with global audiences. Weis is the recipient of multiple honors from the Themed Entertainment Association, including Best New Theme Park and the Buzz Price Lifetime Achievement Award, cementing his stature as a visionary in experiential design. Beyond Disney, Weis served as global entertainment lead for Gensler and consulted for organizations such as the Smithsonian, National Geographic, NASA, and the United States Navy. SCAD's first Executive in Residence, Weis mentors students and advises on academic initiatives that support next-generation storytellers and designers.
