Lulu Lytle
Founder of the famed London design showroom Soane Britain, Lulu Lytle is a force in home design, preserving British craft heritage while showcasing her dedication to the art of eye-catching detail. Soane delivers beautiful furniture, lighting, fabric, and wallpaper through collaborations with the best craftspeople in the U.K., creating objects that have the longevity of genuine antiques. Lytle’s entrepreneurial journey began in 2010, after discovering the last remaining rattan factory in England was going into foreclosure. Lytle boldly bought the factory — where furniture for the Titanic and Sir Edwin Lutyens’ British Embassy were made — and refreshed the practice with modern and iconic designs. In 2016, she bought a chair manufacturer with a similar fate, once again ensuring the protection of endangered artisanry. A decorated designer, Lytle received the prestigious and coveted Order of the British Empire during the King’s Birthday Honors.
