Dominique Petit-Frère
Founder, Limbo Accra
Dominique Petit-Frère is a celebrated urbanist and founder of Limbo Accra, a forward-thinking spatial design and research studio that reimagines unfinished building projects, particularly those shaped by the remnants of extraction. Rooting her practice in the concept of the ruin, Petit-Frère recontextualizes sites of abandonment or condemnation. Her work frames these liminal spaces not as symbols of decay but as opportunities for reinvention and cultural reimagining. To further her educational outreach, Petit-Frère founded the Limbo Museum in Accra, Ghana, a site-specific institution that fosters artistic exchange, innovation, and ecological regeneration.
