Camilla Stærk

New York-based designer Camilla Stærk refined her tough-girl aesthetic by combining leather and black lace in sleek, elegant looks inspired by the photographs of Robert Mapplethorpe. Born and raised in the countryside of Denmark, she studied fashion and textiles at Ravensbourne College in London. Stærk founded her eponymous brand in 2000 when her graduate collection was purchased by top boutiques in Paris and London. Grounded in Danish minimalism, the sophisticated, dark romance of her women's and men's ready-to-wear collections, accessories, and interiors have earned her the British Fashion Council's NewGen Award, collaborations with top fashion brands and hotels, and clients from London to Tokyo to the Americas.
