Dror Benshetrit
Founder of Studio Dror and Supernature Labs, Dror Benshetrit is a designer, thinker, inventor, and futurist whose ingenuity informs a striking range of affecting, unconventional work. Benshetrit has an award-winning 20-plus-year career in product design, interiors, architecture, master planning, and city planning. His eponymous New York studio has collaborated with top-tier companies and developers around the world, envisioning, researching, and developing systems to connect people with nature through the built environment. Recognized on the Wallpaper* "Power 200" list, Benshetrit aims to foster authentic connections and improve people's wellbeing through design. His major works include the novel structural support system Quadror; the Cappellini Peacock chair, acquired for The Metropolitan Museum of Art's permanent collection; the masterplan of Galataport in Istanbul, Turkey; and his first built architectural project, the record-breaking Nurai Island.
