Keala Settle
Broadway star Keala Settle has performed the iconic roles of Madame Thernadier in Les Misérables, Becky in the original cast of Waitress, and Shirley in Priscilla Queen of the Desert. She earned a Tony Award nomination for her performance as Norma Valderde in Hands on a Hardbody and toured the U.S. as Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray. In 2015, she made her film debut in Ricki and The Flash alongside Meryl Streep. In 2018, Settle starred as Lettie Lutz in the film The Greatest Showman, alongside Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron, and her powerhouse performance of the anthemic "This Is Me" earned her critical acclaim. The original soundtrack became a runaway success and reached number one on iTunes in more than 77 countries, before becoming 2018's bestselling album worldwide. Settle recently joined the cast of the dramatic series Murder in Provence, based on the novels by M. L. Longworth, in the role of Hélène Paulik. In 2022, Settle performed live at Cadogan Hall, joined the cast of Gypsy at Alexandra Palace Theatre, and performed at Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee. Additionally, Settle made her West End debut in & Juliet! at The Shaftesbury Theatre and joined an all-star cast in the Sister Act revival in Manchester and London.
