Zaneta Horne

While still in graduate school, Zaneta Horne (SCAD M.A., design management, 2018; SCAD B.F.A., industrial design, 2015) was personally asked by D'Wayne Edwards to apply for the YouTube TV series Lace Up: The Ultimate Sneaker Challenge, where she competed against 12 other designers for an opportunity to work at adidas. As part of the group Nu Black, Horne won the competition, winning 4 out of 7 challenges and designing shoes for Damian Lillard, James Harden, Anthony Anderson, Macklemore, Ashley Graham, Fetty Wap, Eddie Huang, and Jamie Chung. Currently a designer with Brooklyn Farm, she works on footwear concepts across football, basketball, sportswear, and running. She has also created statement pieces for Pharrell, Beyoncé, Pusha T, and Fear of God.
