Derek Larson

With a background in comics and illustration, multidisciplinary artist Derek Larson explores ceramic sculpture to capture stories in the form of artful artifacts. For the SCAD Alumni Atelier, Larson is producing an exhibition of 30 vessels with an accompanying performance art video and lecture series. Follow @dereklarsonceramics.
William Glaser

Based between Savannah, Ga. and Brooklyn, William Glaser works at the intersection of painting, drawing, and photography to portray both struggles and pleasures through constructed environments. For the SCAD Alumni Atelier, Glaser’s large-scale mixed media work Oly will reflect upon the energy and spontaneity of children’s literature using images captured while caregiving. Nicole Panashe Dzenga
M.A., film and television, 2021
Nicole Panashe Dzenga, born in Zimbabwe and raised in South Africa, is a filmmaker passionate about expressing her multicultural background and giving visibility to underrepresented stories. She was the recipient of the TRFF Grant for documentary filmmaking in 2021, and in 2023 will be featured as a music director in a forthcoming project from Alicia Keys. For the SCAD Alumni Atelier, Dzenga is producing comedy web series Plus One, addressing experiences often encountered by international students, foreigners, and any other non-citizens living in the United States.
