SCAD Satellite for Creative Technology

Located next to Montgomery Hall, SCAD Satellite for Creative Technology provides 20 classrooms that springboard collaboration between the School of Design and the School of Creative Technology in developing new media and advanced technologies. SCAD Satellite is a think tank where design thinking, computer programming, and STEM collide, resulting in innovative products and applications.

SCAD Satellite contains two fully equipped studio labs for robotics and prototyping electronics; a special project shop and teaching model shop where students can build 3D models of their original designs; two advanced computer labs for extended reality; a user-testing lab with double-sided mirrors for studying user behavior on digital interfaces and focus groups; and a variety of state-of-the-art classrooms supporting university programs like design for sustainability, design management, extended reality, industrial design, robotics, service design, and more.
