As a SCAD Bee, you're sure to fly far. Wherever you go after commencement, SCAD wants to be a part of your life at every stage of personal and professional success.
With each lightbulb, a concept developed by SCAD alumnus Brian Slagle (B.F.A., painting, 1997, Frederick, Maryland), you can take a little bit of SCAD with you and do your part to save the world's bee population. Each lightbulb contains seeds that will blossom into annual and perennial wildflowers, attract bees and remind you of the wonderful memories made at SCAD.
Remove bulbs from packaging and place on the ground, covering them with a light layer of soil.
Water liberally, especially during the first four to six weeks.
As your flower grows, it serves as a beacon to bees.
Snap before-and-after photos of your bee garden and share with SCAD on social media at @scaddotedu, using #onceabeealwaysabee. Tag your location so we know how far you've flown!
